Dolly Parton is about to receive a special celebration of her legendary career, with some of country music’s biggest names coming together to honor her. Fans will have the chance to watch the event live this week, with performances, memorable footage, and personal stories celebrating the music icon.
The Country Music Association has organized CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton, scheduled for Wednesday, October 21. The live event will take place at Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in Nashville as part of the CMA’s ongoing partnership with the university.
The celebration will also support a cause close to Dolly’s heart. Proceeds from the event will benefit Dolly’s Imagination Library, the early childhood book-gifting program and flagship initiative of The Dollywood Foundation.
Which stars will perform at Dolly Parton’s tribute?
The lineup brings together country music legends, chart-topping artists, and entertainers from across the industry. Dolly’s longtime friend Reba McEntire will join Carrie Underwood, Ella Langley, and Lainey Wilson for the celebration. Country music greats Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs are also set to perform.

Brad Paisley will appear alongside his wife, actress Kimberly Williams Paisley. Gospel star Amy Grant will make a special appearance, as will entertainers Kristen Bell and Kristin Chenoweth.
The roster also includes Ashley McBryde, Lady A, Darius Rucker, Carly Pearce, Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Molly Tuttle, Zac Brown, Sierra Hull, and Lukas Nelson, the son of music legend Willie Nelson.
With so many artists coming together for one night, the special will celebrate the lasting impact Dolly has had on country music and beyond.
CMA CEO Sarah Trahern explained why the organization wanted to honor the singer, saying, “As the organization built to serve and celebrate country music, honoring her legacy is not just an opportunity; it is our responsibility.” She added that the special was a way to thank the artists, industry members, and fans who have connected with Dolly’s music.

CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton will air live on ABC and Disney+ on Wednesday, October 21, from 8 to 10 p.m. Central Time.
Fans who cannot watch the live broadcast do not have to miss the celebration. The special will be available to stream on Hulu the following day, Thursday, October 22.
