The View’s Ana Navarro Finally Reveals Her Weight-Loss Medication After Years of Speculation About Her Transformation

Ana Navarro has opened up about her weight-loss journey, revealing that she has been taking Mounjaro after years of public speculation about her noticeably slimmer appearance.

The 54-year-old The View co-host made the admission during a September 8 episode of the ABC talk show, casually referencing the medication while watching footage of an earlier appearance.

Her revelation came more than three years after she addressed rumors that she had been using another weight-loss drug, Ozempic.

Ana Navarro Makes Unexpected Mounjaro Admission on The View

Navarro’s disclosure came as the panel revisited memorable moments from previous episodes.

While watching an old clip featuring herself dancing alongside Spanish singer and actress Charo, Navarro commented on how much her appearance had changed.

“Those were all pre-Mounjaro,” she said.

She then joked about the amount of weight lost, adding, “We’ve lost the equivalent of a baby hippo on that stage.”

The remark marked a public acknowledgment that Mounjaro had been part of her weight-loss journey.

Navarro did not provide details about when she began taking the medication or how much weight she had lost.

Navarro Previously Addressed Ozempic Rumors

Questions about Navarro’s changing appearance first attracted widespread attention in 2023.

After she shared photographs on Instagram showing her slimmer figure, some followers speculated that she had been using Ozempic.

At the time, Navarro attributed her transformation to significant lifestyle changes following a wellness retreat in Mexico.

She explained that she had traveled with friends to a spa where they learned about healthier eating habits, cooking and exercise.

The experience encouraged her to reconsider her daily routines and become more physically active.

After returning to Miami, Navarro said she and her friends were determined to maintain the healthier habits they had developed.

She also revealed that she had been working with a nutritionist and receiving medical supervision after learning she was prediabetic.

The View Host Described Her Weight Struggles as an Ongoing Challenge

Navarro has previously spoken candidly about the difficulties of managing her weight.

In 2023, she explained that her efforts involved more than temporary dietary changes.

She described the process as a broader lifestyle adjustment that required continued commitment.

However, she also acknowledged that maintaining healthier habits was not always easy.

Navarro joked that she had struggled to give up rosé and margaritas, despite making other changes to her routine.

She also emphasized that she did not consider herself qualified to recommend a particular weight-loss approach to others.

Instead, she encouraged people to recognize that different strategies work for different individuals.

Her latest Mounjaro disclosure adds another detail to the health journey she has discussed publicly over the past several years.

Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin Have Also Used Mounjaro

Navarro is not the first member of The View panel to discuss using the medication.

In March 2024, Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin both revealed during an on-air conversation that they had taken Mounjaro.

Goldberg explained that her weight had approached 300 pounds following her work on the 2022 film Till.

She said that Mounjaro had helped her lose weight after a period that included taking steroids and other medications.

Hostin also discussed her experience, explaining that she had gained approximately 40 pounds during the COVID-19 pandemic.

She said her subsequent weight loss prompted criticism from people who accused her of becoming too thin or using medication that should be reserved for people with diabetes.

Hostin acknowledged that the comments were upsetting but also described the shame she had experienced after gaining weight.

Navarro’s Revelation Adds New Context to Her Transformation

Navarro’s latest comments provide a clearer picture of her changing appearance, which has attracted attention from viewers and social media followers for several years.

Although she previously emphasized exercise, nutrition and lifestyle adjustments, she has now publicly confirmed that Mounjaro has also played a role.

Her remarks follow similar disclosures from Goldberg and Hostin, who have both discussed their personal experiences with weight-loss medication on The View.

For Navarro, the revelation came without a formal announcement or lengthy explanation, emerging instead during a humorous exchange about an old television clip.
