Simone Biles Breaks Down in Tears as She Says Goodbye to Her Houston Home After Six Years of Memories
Olympic gymnastics champion Simone Biles became overwhelmed with emotion while preparing to sell her longtime Houston-area home, admitting that leaving the property was far more difficult than she had expected.
The 29-year-old shared a tearful TikTok video reflecting on the six years she spent in the house, explaining that it had played an important role in her personal growth.
Although Biles and her husband, NFL player Jonathan Owens, have already completed their custom-built Texas mansion, saying goodbye to her former home proved to be an unexpectedly emotional experience.

Simone Biles Fights Back Tears While Remembering Six Years in Her Home
In the video, recorded before the property sold, Biles explained that her house was about to be listed for the first time.
Wearing a black tank top and matching baseball cap, the seven-time Olympic gold medalist struggled to understand why the occasion had affected her so deeply.
She reflected on the happy and difficult experiences she had gone through while living there, describing the property as the place where she truly grew into adulthood.
Biles admitted that she had never expected to become so attached to a house.
As she walked through the empty rooms, she showed viewers parts of the property, including its backyard swimming pool.
The gymnast also expressed hope that whoever purchased the house would experience the same happiness it had brought her.

Despite her emotional farewell, Biles had little time to adjust to the idea of selling the property.
In the caption accompanying her TikTok video, she revealed that the house had sold in just four days.
She explained that she had initially been excited to prepare the property for potential buyers, including placing air fresheners around the rooms and showing Owens one final look.
Instead, she found herself crying as the reality of leaving settled in.
According to the Houston Business Journal, the 3,998-square-foot property was listed on September 26 and went under contract five days later.
The sale officially closed on October 15.
Houston Association of Realtors information placed the sale price between $1.08 million and $1.24 million.

Some social media users were confused about the sale because Biles and Owens had recently completed construction on their dream home in Texas.
Responding to questions in the comments, Biles clarified that the property she was selling was separate from the mansion she built with her husband.
The couple’s custom-designed residence was completed in November 2025 following a lengthy planning and construction process.
Biles previously explained that work on the design began in 2020 and took more than a year.
After waiting for homeowners association approvals, construction officially began in February 2022.
The home was finally completed on November 11, 2025.
A New Chapter With Husband Jonathan Owens
Biles and Owens were closely involved in designing their new residence, working together to incorporate their preferences into the finished property.
In May 2025, Biles described the project as a collaboration between the couple, although construction delays had complicated their anticipated move.
She later shared photographs of their completed home, including its swimming pool, spacious dining area and striking chandelier.
The couple first connected through the dating app Raya in March 2020, became engaged in February 2022 and married in April 2023.
While their new mansion represents another chapter in their life together, Biles’ emotional farewell demonstrated how much her previous home still meant to her.
For the decorated gymnast, the property was more than a place to live. It held six years of experiences, personal milestones and memories that she will carry with her long after handing over the keys.
