A moment he’ll never forget.
Over the past two years, Riley Green has cemented himself as a certified star on all fronts. From a pure music perspective, he’s grabbed three straight #1s with the likes of his appearance on Ella Langley’s “you look like you love me,” his second collaboration with the fellow Alabama native, “Don’t Mind If I Do” and his steamy ballad, “Worst Way.” Couple that with getting a nod as one of People’s “Sexiest Men Alive” and his recent acting debut on Taylor Sheridan’s Marshals, Green has cemented himself as one of the biggest stars in the genre recently.
This weekend was particularly busy for the “Different Round Here” singer. In addition to having his fourth and final Marshals episode air (and end in shocking fashion) and being confirmed as a judge for season 30 of The Voice, Green also had a jam-packed weekend in Georgia — performing a concert in Alpharetta at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre and joining the Savannah Bananas for their game at Truist Park.
The Alpharetta concert, in particular, proved to be incredibly memorable for a young boy named Logan.
After performing the likes of past hits such as “Different Round Here” and “Damn Good Day to Leave” as well as setlist staples like Jamey Johnson’s “In Color” and Toby Keith’s “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue,” Green found the seven-year-old superfan in the crowd once again.
In case you’re not familiar with the situation, Green actually invited Logan up on stage last summer to perform “I Wish Grandpas Never Died” after meeting him at a pre-show meet and greet. This time around, however, the young fan specifically asked to sing Riley’s viral hit, “Jesus Saves.”
Bringing him up on stage, Green would note that he saw Logan’s “Jesus Saves” sign but told him to tell the Georgia crowd which song he wanted to sing, receiving a loud cheer before the two performed the hit in its entirety. Fighting off any possible stage fright, he’d stand up tall and deliver the song pretty damn well alongside his hero.
The comments on the “My Way” singer’s TikTok came pouring in quickly, with many praising Logan and Green for allowing such a special moment to happen once again for the young fan.
“That little boy will tell the world throughout his life about this incredible day.“
“This was absolutely amazing”
This is the sweetest thing you do!”
“That’s good son.“
“Bless you Riley for allowing the little man to sing with you. You made his day.”
“Precious.“
“Omg this is the best thing ever”
“Riley is awesome. That kid will never forget that”
If there’s one thing about Riley Green, it’s that he’s never going to pass up the opportunity to make a young fan’s day and bring them up on stage, and we love him for it.
