Pink opened the 2026 Tony Awards with a truly incredible number that featured numerous iconic performers.

She began in the air, flying across the stage, doing numerous acrobatic moves while dressed as Peter Pan and singing “I’m Flying” from the 1954 musical. However, she was quickly interrupted by Neil Patrick Harris, who asked the singer what she was doing.

“I want to show how much I love theater, even though I haven’t been on Broadway. I’m concerned that people will be like, ‘Why is Pink hosting the Tonys?’” she replied. “I want to show them how thrilled I am to be here!”

She then sang some lines from other Broadway shows, including The Phantom of the Opera and On My Own, and belted the high note sung by Elphaba in Wicked. However, Harris encouraged her to just be herself, which led to a change. From there, she launched into her own version of “Lady Marmalade,” from the hit musical Moulin Rouge!.

The performance featured cast members from this season’s shows, including The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque, Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York), Chess, CATS: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime and Richard O’Brien‘s The Rocky Horror Show. There were also cameos from 96-year-old June Squibb, Chicago and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt and Megan Thee Stallion.

As the performance wrapped up, the stage and aisles at Radio City Music Hall were filled with Broadway stars.

The Tony Awards included numerous performances from the nominated musicals, as well as special anniversary tributes to The Book of Mormon, Chicago, A Chorus Line and Rent.
