Emilio – an internet famous pianist and busker with more than 8.43 million YouTube subscribers – was out playing classical music in Los Angeles when a two-year-old Filipino girl wearing a tiara and Frozen-blue princess dress bravely approached him to put in a song request.
Tiny Leona wanted to hear the modern Disney classic, “Let It Go,” and when Emilio whipped it out from his mental musical songbook, Leona smiled excitedly and exclaimed the cutest “Ha!” you’ve likely ever heard. But nobody expected what Leona was about to do next…
Amassing more than 3.2 million views within just two weeks of reaching the internet, Music Man readers can watch the moment unfold in the viral video above!
Leona starts jumping to reach Emilio’s microphone, letting out “eek” sounds with every hop, melting the hearts of everyone in Emilio’s huge crowd. The pianist takes the microphone off its stand and hands it to Leona, who is about to perform her very first live concert at only two years of age!
No one can believe the pipsqueak girl’s bravery as she introduces her song like a pro in her babyish voice. Magically, she remembers each and every lyric and complex word most two-year-olds wouldn’t be able to pronounce, singing in perfect time with Emilio’s piano, and staying masterfully on-pitch.
Her vocals are swept with childlike squeaks and squashed, baby tones, yet she sings every note on key, nailing each high note like a child prodigy as her stunned-speechless audience erupts into cheers and applause.
By the time Leona reaches her second verse, a stranger in a bright red tracksuit is dancing along like a madman, mime artists wave their hands in the background, and mum-aged women are wiping tears from their eyes. Leona’s own mother watches on proudly from the audience, encouraging Leona to give it her all, and Leona doesn’t miss the mark for a second.
Leona didn’t just enchant her LA crowd, but the entire internet too. As one top commenter wrote beneath this viral clip, “The fact that she knows all the lyrics at that age alone is crazy,” another viewer realized, “She’s clearly a musical learner because she not only knew the lyrics she knew the music and the timing, he’s not playing a simplified version for her. Plus she’s fearless; we’ll probably see her on AGT in a couple years!”
