I’M A Celebrity’s Beverly Callard has revealed she’s over half way through radiotherapy in a fresh cancer battle update with fans.
The actress, 69, who appeared on the ITV show back in November 2020 and took part in the All Stars series this year, shared that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in February.
Since then the soap star, who played Liz McDonald between 1989 and 2020 on Coronation Street, has been sharing updates with her 317k followers.
Yesterday, sitting outside the hospital in a leopard print jumpsuit, Beverly told the camera: “Sitting in the garden outside St Luke’s Hospital.
“Just finished number six. Over half way!”
In the next Instagram Story, Beverly can be seen sitting on the sofa with one of her Giant Black Russian Terriers sat next to her, and the other looking for some attention from the floor.
She said: “I just wanted a bit of peace!”
Beverly’s husband Jon McEwan added: “They are ridiculous. For starters, they shouldn’t be on the sofa.”
“I know, but they missed me,” Beverly replied.
Last month she shared a hospital bed video as she revealed a new diagnosis and confirmed she needs radiotherapy amid her cancer battle.
It came after a day prior she shared concern that she had a blood clot.
Beverly told fans: “So far, blood pressure done. That’s high, of course, because I’m nervous,” Bev told fans.
“They’ve taken blood, blood oxygen levels, and now they’re going to see if they can fit me in for a scan before they get the results of the blood test, because they take about three hours.”
Next Bev was back at home, and revealed that her latest test had shown that she didn’t have blood clot, as she had feared.
But the star revealed doctors had found something else.
Revealing her new diagnosis, Bev said: “Apparently, wait for it, it’s a cyst, but it’s quite common.
“It’s at the back of my knee there, well there, I had this pain and I didn’t think it was anything but it persisted.
“So then I thought I should go and obviously I was panicked a little bit yesterday, but I’m okay.”
Bev then revealed she was off to see her radiotherapist, and in her final update, she opened up about starting the gruelling treatment.
“I’ll be having 10 days of radiotherapy, five consecutive days, then a weekend off, then five more days. I’m not sure when it starts yet,” she told fans.
