JULIA Majchrzak has said that she is ’embarrassed’ by Lorenzo Alessi after he was caught liking models’ pictures on Instagram while ignoring hers.
In a new joint interview, the Love Island winner defended his behaviour and confessed he “didn’t think it would be picked up by the press”.
The couple were grilled about the online drama on Capital XTRA, shortly after their ‘awkward’ This Morning interview went viral.
Asked how she felt about her boyfriend liking other women’s pictures, Julia, 26, said the whole furor was ‘not funny’.
She told the hosts: “Guys, this is not funny. He’s already embarrassed me online.
“He had no time to arrange a date in five days, but was sat in bed liking other girls’ Instagram pictures.”
Referring to her own posts, she added: “Did you even have time to like my photos? Guess what, guys, he’s not under my Instagram!”
Lorenzo, 28, managed to laugh off the moment and suggesting Julia’s post simply had not appeared on his feed yet.
He then attempted to explain himself, saying: “This is the thing. I feel like why I didn’t want to rush things in the villa… We’re not running around getting married tomorrow.
“I’m learning how to be in a committed relationship, and I’m learning what is acceptable and what is not.”
He continued: “To be 100 per cent honest, it was pure naivety. I did not think it would be picked up by the press.
“These are now real-world things that we can experience together.”
Lorenzo later poked fun at the controversy by commenting “liked by Lorenzo” underneath Julia’s latest snaps.
It comes after a clip of the couple’s appearance on This Morning went viral last week, with fans left unconvinced by their relationship.
Joining Josie Gibson and Paddy McGuinness in the studio, Lorenzo and Julia were quizzed about their future plans.
But an unimpressed Julia grilled Lorenzo over why he had failed to organise a date and had barely seen her since they won Love Island together.
Viewers also claimed Lorenzo appeared distracted by former flame Jasmine, who was sitting just inches away with Kavan.
Fans went on to brand Lorenzo and Julia’s chat the “most awkward interview ever” after they admitted they were yet to go on a date since returning to the UK.
