“If you can roll six different numbers using one standard dice, how many different totals can you make by rolling three identical standard dice?”
Liz said she believed she would have answered 180.
Lee then revealed the correct answer was 16.
The reason is that three standard dice can produce totals ranging from 3 to 18. A total of 1 or 2 is impossible when rolling three dice, leaving 16 possible totals.
Liz therefore discovered that she had made the right choice. Had she played on with the answer she had in mind, she would have been wrong and would have missed out on the £10,000 she had already secured.

The 1% Club expands with a children’s edition
The episode also came as ITV prepared to expand The 1% Club with a children’s version of the programme.
The special edition, recorded the previous year, features 100 children taking part instead of adult contestants as they attempt to survive the questions and reach the final 1% challenge.
A first-look clip released by ITV showed Lee Mack being introduced to the viral “6, 7” trend by the young contestants.
After Lee asked about the children’s seat numbers on the set, they responded by moving their hands up and down while chanting “6, 7”.
The phrase became strongly associated with Gen Alpha after going viral and was later named Dictionary.com’s word of the year. Its appeal came partly from the fact that it had little clear meaning or context.
The official definition described the phrase as “a burst of energy that spreads and connects people long before anyone agrees on what it actually means.”
