The 1% Club viewers have been complaining about a certain answer on the show.
Fans of the show have been left fuming after they spotted what they believed to be an ‘error’ on the gameshow.
For those not in the know, the ITV show sees comedian Lee Mack attempt to find the smartest one percent group in Britain.
When the gameshow begins, it seems as though it will be pretty straightforward – especially considering most people can crack the first few questions – but soon, increasingly difficult questions see the group whittled down to just one percent.
The contestants are competing to win prize money up to £100,000, meanwhile viewers at home are encouraged to join in too.
But last week, fans watching from their sofas were growing increasingly frustrated about one of the answers on the show, marking the second time in one week an ‘error’ with an answer was spotted.
The question was: “If you had eight fingers on your left hand, six fingers on your right hand, the same number of toes on your right foot as your left hand and three toes on your left foot, how many fingers and toes would you have on total?”
People took issue with one of the questions. (ITV)
While 25 was given as the correct answer on the show, some people were adamant it was incorrect.
One wrote: “Surely this is 17 @1PercentClubITV, ‘The same number of toes on your right foot as your left hand’ means the same number of toes on my right foot as there are toes on my left hand = 0. 8 + 6 + 0 + 3 = 17.”
One commented agreeing that the question was phrased in a confusing way.
“Given this show is all about how the questions are phrased, it’s a bit of a cock up on their part that they didn’t say ‘the same number of toes on your right foot as the number of fingers on your left hand,” they wrote, to which the original poster added: “Yes… I thought it was 17 because spotting that sort of detail within the question seemed to be the point of the questions.”
Another viewer added: “I’m a little annoyed with myself that I got this “correct” with 25. Because you are spot on, and the answer should have been 17 phrased as it is.”

While one said: “I put 25, then re-read and thought I messed it up and it was 17 as well.”
According to reports, an independent adjudicator also accepted 17 as a correct answer.
Writing on the Digital Spy forum for show, they claimed: “The independent adjudicator had to be called in on this one cos someone gave an answer about this. Their answer was accepted.”
