Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are heading back down under and visiting Australia in April, it has been reported. A spokesman for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed in a statement on Sunday that they “will visit Australia in mid-April to take part in a number of private, business and philanthropic engagements.”
They added that “further details will be shared in due course”. News.com.au reported the royal pair will visit Sydney and Melbourne during their time abroad.
Details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, but reports claim that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community.
It comes as Prince Harry recorded a heartfelt video message for Paralympian, Scott Meenagh, a British para Nordic skier and former British Army soldier. Attending Milano Cortina 2026, it will be his final winter Paralympics. Scott represented the UK at the inaugural Invictus Games London 2014, and went on to compete again at Orlando 2016 and Toronto 2017.
While their itinerary has not been disclosed, it has been rumoured Meghan will appear on the “Her Best Life” podcast, initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their company, “Besties”.
Prince Harry and Meghan’s expected visit will differ to their previous trip to Australia as they will be travelling as private citizens and not in a royal capacity.
It is still unclear whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, will join their parents or remain at home in Montecito, California.

Harry and Meghan visited Australia in 2018 shortly after getting married. They also visited Fiji and Tonga before concluding the trip with four days in New Zealand.
Since quitting royal duties, Prince Harry has focused on charity work and other initiatives, such as the Invictus Games while Meghan has created a lifestyle brand “As Ever” and launched a Netflix series, “With Love, Meghan”, as well as other projects.
