Riley Green Opens Up About Marriage and Having Children as The Voice Coach Admits His Career Is Holding Him Back

Riley Green Reveals Whether He Wants Children In The Future

Riley Green may be one of country music’s most eligible bachelors, but the singer has admitted that settling down and starting a family is something he genuinely hopes to experience.

The country star, whose popularity has soared following his collaborations with Ella Langley, has generally kept his romantic life away from public attention.

However, as his career continues expanding with a coaching role on Season 30 of The Voice, Green has offered a rare glimpse into his thoughts about marriage, fatherhood and the challenges of maintaining a personal life while constantly working.

Although he wants children someday, the singer acknowledged that his current schedule makes the prospect difficult.

Speaking with Billboard, Green revealed that becoming a husband and father is something he thinks about frequently.

“I think about it a lot. At this point in my life, I don’t know how I could do it,” he admitted.

The singer explained that his demanding career leaves little room for the stability he believes raising a family would require.

“Things are going to have to slow down and get a little bit more of a sense of normalcy before I could really think about settling down and having a family.”

Despite those challenges, Green made clear that he hasn’t ruled out marriage or children.

In fact, he believes becoming a father could open an entirely new chapter in his songwriting.

“It’s definitely something I’d like to do, and I’m somewhat excited about where my songwriting would go with that much of a change in my life, too.”

For an artist whose music often draws on personal experiences, the possibility of family life represents both an emotional milestone and a source of creative inspiration.

Why Riley Green Isn’t Ready to Slow Down His Career

Green’s hesitation isn’t necessarily about avoiding commitment. Instead, he recognises how difficult it can be to maintain success in the competitive country music industry.

After years of performing in small venues and working toward a breakthrough, he is now enjoying some of the biggest opportunities of his career.

And he isn’t eager to let that momentum slip away.

“I’ve got more opportunity now than I’ve ever had,” Green explained.

He acknowledged that such success doesn’t last forever and believes he should make the most of his current position.

“So it’s just keep your foot on the gas as long as you can.”

His comments suggest that while family remains an important ambition, he is waiting for a point when his professional commitments become more manageable.

Green did not identify a current romantic partner or announce any plans to marry.

Green’s growing popularity also attracted attention from fellow country star Blake Shelton ahead of his debut on The Voice.

Shelton believed Green possessed the ideal combination of qualities to attract contestants to his team.

“Well, he’s country, personality, and good looks, so he’s like the triple threat,” Shelton joked.

“No one’s ever gonna say ‘no’ to Riley Green when he turns around.”

Green joined Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Queen Latifah for Season 30, bringing his country music experience to the competition’s famous red chairs.

The television role marked another major step in his career, introducing him to viewers beyond his established country audience.

Although Green has become increasingly successful as a recording artist and television personality, his comments reveal that he still imagines a different kind of life beyond touring and performing.

For now, he appears determined to embrace the opportunities available to him rather than rush into a major personal commitment.

Green hasn’t revealed when he might be ready for marriage or children, but he has made one thing clear: starting a family is something he wants, even if his career means that chapter will have to wait.
