AMERICAN Idol fans have sworn that things appeared tense between Carrie Underwood and guest judge Nikki Glaser during the live show.
Nikki, a die-hard Swiftie, appeared as the fourth judge for American Idol‘s Taylor Swift Night on Monday.

The Top 7 contestants performed two songs, the first from Taylor’s extensive music catalogue, and the second from an artist of their choice.
Nikki was one of many guest judges this season, following former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson, who filled in last week.
However, it appeared Carrie wasn’t too pleased with Nikki sitting beside her and her fellow judges, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, on the panel.

Viewers pointed out on social media that Carrie seemed to make a disgusted face numerous times when Nikki spoke.
They speculated that a feud might be brewing between the country singer and the comedian.
“Carrie cannot standddd Nikki lol,” one Reddit user wrote.
“Carrie hates Nikki Glaser,” suspected another.

“The tension between Carrie and Nikki is KILLING me lmaoo,” someone else said on X.
“Well, I don’t think Carrie Underwood looks happy that Nikki Glaser is there,” assumed a fourth.
“Carrie Underwood hates Nikki Glaser for some reason – she makes no attempt to hide it. Unprofessional,” a fifth reacted.
“Carrie Underwood looks absolutely miserable on American Idol, it’s not even funny,” added a sixth.
“Carrie and Nikki could not be more opposite lol,” chimed in one more.
Some viewers expressed curiosity about next week’s panel dynamic, as original judge Paula Abdul steps in as a guest judge.
Randy Jackson is also set to return next week as a mentor for the five remaining contestants.
Brooks Rosser and Daniel Stallworth were eliminated at the end of the show, leaving Keyla Richardson, Jordan McCullough, Chris Tungseth, Hannah Harper, and Braden Rumfelt advancing to next week.

Carrie has faced a lot of criticism since joining the show last season and nearly quit until production agreed to her multiple demands.
Meanwhile, fans have repeatedly called for her to be replaced by one of this season’s guest judges.

Last week, viewers begged for Jennifer Hudson to take over for Carrie permanently.
Earlier in the season, fans pleaded for Keke Palmer to be her replacement.
There are only two weeks left until the American Idol finale airs on May 11, when the Season 24 winner will be crowned.
