11-year-old guitarist leaves Britain’s Got Talent speechless — and even Brian May couldn’t stay quiet

An 11-year-old schoolboy has stunned audiences on Britain’s Got Talent after delivering a high-energy guitar performance that quickly turned into one of the standout moments of the night.

Harry Churchill took to the stage at the London Palladium and launched into a powerful medley of Queen classics, instantly grabbing the attention of both the crowd and the judges. His set built momentum as he moved through some of the band’s most iconic melodies before closing with a dramatic flourish — playing the chorus of “We Will Rock You” with his guitar held behind his back.

The audience erupted into a standing ovation, while the judges struggled to hide their surprise at his confidence, skill, and stage presence.

Simon Cowell called it a “great, great audition,” while Bruno Tonioli went even further, hailing him as a “king of rock ’n’ roll.” All four judges ultimately voted him through to the next round.

But the moment didn’t stop there.

In an unexpected twist, legendary Queen guitarist Brian May later revealed he had seen Harry’s performance after another musician sent it to him — and he was immediately impressed. The rock icon shared the clip on Instagram, writing simply: “Harry Rocks!!!!” and praising the young performer’s talent and energy, calling for him to keep going and “smash it.”

The endorsement from one of rock’s most iconic figures only amplified the buzz around Harry’s audition, which is already being hailed as one of the most memorable youth performances of the season.

13-year-old Malakai Bayoh not only shocked the veteran TV judge with his amazing singing voice, but was also awarded Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer – guaranteeing the youngster a place in the live semi-finals.

Malakai, who began singing as a chorister at St George’s Cathedral, Southwark in London when he was just 7-years-old, sang a stunning rendition of ‘Pie Jesu’ during his audition.

“If there’s any one word I could use to describe that … golden,” Cowell says, before pressing the famed Golden Buzzer.
