MobLand Has Officially Been Renewed For Season 3 With Tom Hardy Returning, Sending Fans Into A Frenzy As The Hit Crime Saga Prepares To Get Even Darker, Bigger And More Dangerous

MobLand Season 3 Officially Confirmed With Tom Hardy Returning — After Reports His Future on the Paramount+ Crime Drama Was in Doubt

‘MobLand’ Officially Renewed for Season 3 & Tom Hardy Returns

MobLand Season 2 has not even arrived on Paramount+ yet, but the future of the hit crime drama is already taking shape — and one of the biggest questions surrounding the series has finally been answered.

Paramount+ has officially renewed MobLand for a third season, with Tom Hardy confirmed to return as Harrigan family fixer Harry Da Souza.

Hardy’s involvement had become the subject of intense speculation following reports of difficulties during production of Season 2. At one stage, conflicting reports even raised the possibility that the actor might not be invited back for another installment.

Those concerns can now be put aside.

Hardy will remain at the center of the increasingly dangerous Harrigan underworld when MobLand returns for Season 3.

Hardy has played Harry since the beginning of the series, serving as the fixer responsible for dealing with the many problems surrounding the Harrigan crime family.

His future on the show became uncertain after reports emerged alleging tension behind the scenes during production of the second season.

Hardy was accused of behavior that reportedly included keeping fellow cast members waiting while remaining in his dressing room and offering unsolicited suggestions about scripts.

Reports also claimed that he had clashed with executive producer Jez Butterworth, leading to speculation that his position on the series could be in jeopardy.

However, subsequent accounts suggested there was a desire among other members of the production team to resolve the situation rather than move forward without Hardy.

Guy Ritchie reportedly wanted to find a solution

Among those reportedly interested in keeping Hardy involved was executive producer Guy Ritchie.

Helen Mirren also publicly supported the prospect of her costar returning.

Eventually, the situation appears to have been resolved.

According to Deadline reporting cited by TV Insider, Hardy, Butterworth and executive producer David Glasser met in London and worked through their differences.

Paramount+ has now removed any remaining uncertainty by confirming Hardy as part of Season 3.

For a series built heavily around Harry’s role as the Harrigans’ problem solver, his return preserves one of MobLand’s central relationships heading into its next chapter.

Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan are also returning

Hardy will once again be joined by two of the show’s biggest stars.

Pierce Brosnan returns as Conrad Harrigan, patriarch of the powerful crime family, while Helen Mirren will reprise her role as formidable matriarch Maeve Harrigan.

The wider returning cast includes Paddy Considine as Conrad’s eldest son Kevin Harrigan and Anson Boon as Eddie.

Mandeep Dhillon plays Conrad’s daughter Seraphina, while Lara Pulver portrays Kevin’s wife, Bella.

Joanne Froggatt is also part of the ensemble as Harry’s wife, Jan, alongside Jasmine Jobson as Harry’s trusted right hand, Zosia.

Season 3 could feature another huge ensemble

Other names currently associated with the returning cast include Janet McTeer as Kat McAllister and Alex Fine as her enforcer, Donnie.

Jordi Mollà plays cartel figure Jaime Lopez, while Toby Jones appears as Colin Tattersall.

Several supporting characters also survived the dangerous events of the first season, including Emmett J. Scanlan’s Harrigan enforcer Paul and Teddie Allen as Harry’s daughter Gina.

Season 2 expands the cast further with Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond.

Whether every surviving character will actually make it into Season 3 remains another matter.

MobLand has established a world where alliances can collapse quickly and major characters are never necessarily safe, meaning the events of the upcoming second season could significantly reshape the ensemble before the third begins.

Harry remains at the heart of the Harrigan operation

Hardy’s confirmed return is particularly important because Harry occupies a unique position inside the story.

He is not simply another member of the Harrigan family.

As their fixer, Harry operates between the family’s personal conflicts and its criminal business, repeatedly finding himself responsible for containing situations that threaten to spiral out of control.

That role has placed him at the center of the show’s shifting alliances and power struggles.

Removing Harry would therefore have required a significant change in direction.

Instead, Paramount+ is moving forward with Hardy still firmly attached.

Season 2 will determine what the next chapter looks like

Although Season 3 is already confirmed, viewers still have an entire second season to get through first.

That makes predicting the storyline of the third installment almost impossible.

The violent nature of MobLand means even characters currently expected to return could face very different circumstances depending on what happens next.

Season 2’s additions, Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond, could also become important to the longer-term story, although details about their potential involvement in Season 3 remain unclear.

For now, the biggest certainty concerns Hardy himself.

After weeks of conflicting reports about his position, Harry Da Souza is officially staying in the game.

When will MobLand Season 3 premiere?

Paramount+ has not announced a premiere date for Season 3.

With the second season still awaiting release, it is far too early for a firm timetable for the following installment.

More information about production, storylines and additional casting is likely to emerge after Season 2 arrives and the fate of its characters becomes clearer.

What has already been settled, however, is the question that generated the most speculation.

MobLand will continue beyond Season 2 — and despite reports of behind-the-scenes tensions, Tom Hardy will be back at the center of the Harrigan family’s dangerous world when Season 3 eventually arrives on Paramount+.
