The Fairy Princess Fell in Love with a Human… But the Price of That Love Was Her Wings
On the night of the full moon, Ethan found a girl lying unconscious beneath a silver tree in the glowing forest.
Her dress shimmered like starlight. Blood stained one shoulder, and behind her back rested two enormous white wings.
When her eyes opened, she grabbed his wrist.
“Please… don’t let them find me.”
At that moment, hundreds of strange lights appeared between the trees.
Fairy guards were searching for her.
Ethan carried the mysterious girl to his small cabin and hid her before the soldiers passed. He lived alone after losing his parents and had never seen magic before.
The girl’s name was Aurora.
What Ethan did not know was that she was the princess of the Fairy Kingdom, fleeing a political marriage to the Prince of Shadows.
Fairy law was absolute.
Any fairy who loved a human would lose her magic and wings forever.
Yet as the days passed, Aurora discovered a life she had never known.
Ethan taught her to cook bread over a fire. She laughed when flour covered her face. She helped him repair the roof, fed the forest animals, and watched sunsets without servants telling her where to stand.
For the first time, she felt free.
And slowly, they fell in love.
But the Fairy Queen soon discovered the truth.
“Bring my daughter back,” she ordered. “Dead or alive.”
Fairy hunters entered the human world. Trees began to wither. Animals fled. The sky turned purple.
Knowing Ethan would be killed, Aurora disappeared one night.
The next morning, he found only a glowing feather on her pillow.
Refusing to lose her, Ethan followed it through the Fairy Gate.
He became the first human ever to enter the Fairy Kingdom.
Inside the crystal palace, he found Aurora wearing a wedding gown beside the Prince of Shadows.
Tears filled her eyes, but her voice was cold.
“I never loved you.”
Heartbroken, Ethan turned away.
Then one tear fell from Aurora’s cheek.
Her white wings began crumbling into ash.
The Queen laughed.
It had all been a test.
If Aurora rejected Ethan, she would become queen.
But if she admitted her love, an ancient curse would destroy the Fairy Kingdom.
Aurora had to choose between one human life and millions of fairies.
Guards forced Ethan to his knees.
As a blade rose above his neck, Aurora screamed,
“I choose love!”
Her wings vanished instantly.
Magic exploded through the palace.
Crystal towers collapsed. The sky split open. The entire kingdom began falling into darkness.
Ethan ran to Aurora and pulled her through the closing gate moments before the palace disappeared.
When they awoke in the human forest, Aurora had no wings.
No crown.
No magic.
She looked at her trembling hands and began to cry.
Ethan held her close.
“You lost everything.”
Aurora smiled through her tears.
“No,” she whispered.
“For the first time, I can grow old.”
She placed her hand in his.
“And spend every year beside the person I chose.”
