Are Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet caught up in their parents’ security controversy?
Concerns about security around Archie and Lilibet’s school are drawing renewed public attention to the story of protecting Harry and Meghan in the UK.
According to Express , royal writer Ingrid Seward suggests the couple may be using the security incident at their children’s school to bolster their argument for public-funded protection.
Earlier in September, two men wearing backpacks and traveling in a white van were reportedly spotted by private security and school staff as they patrolled the campus, monitoring areas frequented by children. A spokesperson for Team Sussex called the act “extremely reckless” and described it as an “unacceptable invasion of children’s privacy.”

Royal communications experts suggest that British newspapers are unlikely to publish unauthorized photos of Archie and Lilibet, but European media could create demand for their images. This further fuels the Sussex family’s security concerns as they await a decision regarding whether they will be granted taxpayer-funded protection.
Express reiterated that Harry and Meghan returned to live in the UK in August and are awaiting the outcome of whether they will be protected by public funds. Some comments from security experts and royal commentators suggest that the incident near the school may add weight to their argument about the real risk the family is facing.
Conflicting opinions have emerged, with some arguing that publicly discussing security could both help them express their views and draw more scrutiny to the issue. On the other hand, some sources previously indicated that Sussex’s security assessment was being reviewed now that they have become full-time residents of the UK.
