The Fab Four reunion next year: The truth behind the 40% chance or just a staged event for the cameras?
Although relations between the two families remain frosty following Harry and Meghan’s unexpected return to the UK, royal experts believe there’s a 40% chance the “Fab Four” will appear together next year, but it could all just be a “diplomatic photo opportunity.”
Since walking together at Windsor Castle during Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022, the former “Fab Four” of the British Royal Family – Prince William, Princess Kate, and Duke Harry and Duchess Meghan – seem to have become two parallel lines.
The Sussexes’ unexpected return to England last August raised countless questions about the future of the royal family. Amidst what are believed to be “irreparable” rifts, will the public ever have the chance to see these four prominent figures together in one frame again?

The sudden return of the Sussexes and the coolness from William and Kate.
Last August, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially returned to the United Kingdom after six years residing in the United States (since stepping down from royal duties in early 2020). Currently, Harry and Meghan are believed to be living in the peaceful Cotswolds countryside with their two young children, Prince Archie (7 years old) and Princess Lilibet (5 years old).
Recently, the couple made their first public appearances in Nottingham, visiting community organizations such as Community Recording Studio, Himmah Hub, and Epic Partners. While their arrival was met with a warm welcome from around 200 locals, the atmosphere behind the royal doors was quite the opposite.
According to internal sources, Prince William was only informed of his brother’s return to England a few days before their arrival. Neither William nor Princess Kate reportedly had any plans to meet with or mend tensions with the Sussexes.

40% chance of a joint appearance next year.
Despite the extremely strained relationship between the two sides, royal analyst Jake Ashton (of OLBG) believes that the possibility of the public seeing all four appear together next year is not impossible.
According to Ashton’s analysis: The probability of two couples appearing in the same frame during the remaining months of this year is quite low, at only about 33.3%. However, this percentage will increase to 40% (equivalent to odds of 6/4) next year.
Expert Jake Ashton shared: “The public reception in Nottingham shows that people are still very curious and welcoming to Harry and Meghan. However, being well-liked by the public and having a warm reunion with William and Kate are two completely different stories.”

The “million-dollar” photo and the truth behind the diplomatic smile.
Looking back, the last time the “Fab Four” were seen together was during a stroll through Windsor in September 2022 to thank the public following the Queen’s death. Despite the solemn atmosphere, the media noticed a noticeable tension and distance between the two couples, with virtually no direct interaction.
Since then, Prince William and Prince Harry are believed to have stopped speaking to each other. Even at the memorial service for their uncle Robert Fellowes in 2024, they deliberately avoided each other and kept a complete distance.
Therefore, expert Jake Ashton emphasizes that even if a joint appearance takes place next year, its nature is unlikely to be a sign of reconciliation: “Just a photo of all four of them together would be enough to create a sensation on the front pages of global newspapers. But the bigger question is: Is it a real turning point for their relationship, or simply a photo opportunity arranged after days of waiting?”
A group photo of Prince William, Princess Kate, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle next year could generate enormous media value and alleviate some of the public pressure. However, the deep wounds and years of mistrust show that while a camera lens can capture a historic reunion, it can hardly heal the icy wall within the British Royal Family.
