SAVANNAH Guthrie is making a plan for a “second act” in the entertainment industry over three months after her mother’s horrific abduction.

But sources have exclusively told The U.S. Sun that Savannah‘s pivot to hosting a game show has baffled some of her Today colleagues.

On Monday, Savannah announced on air that she will host an all-new Wordle game show, executive produced by Jimmy Fallon.

Filming is reportedly set to begin this summer in the U.K. – far from Today’s New York City studios.

“Some people said, ‘Isn’t Savannah already rich enough? Why take on even more right now?’” one insider claimed of the reaction around Today.

Tuesday marks 100 days since Savannah’s beloved mom, Nancy, 84, was snatched from her Arizona home in the early morning hours of February 1 by a masked and armed intruder.

With the frustrating lack of leads or answers behind the abduction, some of those closest to the Today host insisted it’s work that keeps her going.

“The people who really know Savannah aren’t surprised at all,” a colleague explained of her new career path.

“She has always been incredibly ambitious beneath that calm image.”

Another insider explained, “She doesn’t sit still well.

“Work is how she copes, how she focuses, and honestly how she survives difficult moments.”

After Monday morning’s announcement on Today, Savannah wrote, “Happy to have something joyful to share.”

The anchor’s posts in recent months have, in large part, been about the search for her abducted mother.

“There were serious rumors a few months ago that Savannah might never return to Today,” an NBC insider revealed.

“People thought the emotional toll would simply be too much.”

“Instead, the exact opposite happened. She came back bigger than ever.”

“There’s a real feeling this is becoming Savannah’s second act,” another TV insider shared. “Not just news anchor Savannah — entertainment star Savannah.”

A staffer claimed Savannah has been able to take on her morning show hosting duties at a gentler pace after her return to work following a months-long leave to assist in the search.

“She’s picking her spots carefully now,” one staffer claimed.

“She’s not grinding the way she used to, but when she shows up, NBC makes it count.”

“Savannah works limited hours compared to before,” another insider added. “Studio 1A is basically her comfort zone now.”

And apparently, NBC execs are more than happy to accommodate her during the difficult transition back to work.

“Executives are treating her very delicately,” a network source explained.

“But they also see huge opportunity in her popularity right now.”

“People inside the building keep saying the same thing,” another source shared.

“Out of heartbreak somehow came the biggest moment of Savannah’s career.”

The good news announcement came on the heels of an understandably difficult weekend for Savannah, who shared a post Sunday again pleading with the public for information about her missing mother on Mother’s Day.

Savannah made it clear that their family won’t have any peace until they have answers.

She also appealed to the public, asking anyone who might know something, no matter how small, to speak up.

She finished the emotional post by asking for prayers and sharing a video of cherished family moments.

Her husband, Michael Feldman, also showed his support with a tribute to Savannah.

He praised her strength during this incredibly tough time and shared a photo of her hugging their two children, Vale and Charley.
