GOOD Morning Britain anchor Adil Ray left his ITV show guests – and co-host Kate Garraway – stunned as he admitted he’s planning a holiday with his ex.
Furthermore, the Lingo frontman, 52, admitted the pair could be “sensible” and “purely platonic” after suggesting they would even share the same room.
Adil‘s confession – which came during a GMB debate about holidaying with exes – left Kate, 59, exclaiming: “You never talk about your romantic life”.
Kerry Katona, 45, who The Sun exclusively revealed had bagged a role as a guest panelist alongside Nigel Havers, 74, then bluntly told him: “You’re pushing it” before suggesting she “couldn’t think of anything worse”.
Adil took charge of the debate section and said: “I am good friends with my ex.
“She needs a holiday, and I need a holiday, and we are both thinking about it”.
Kate was left open-mouthed in shock and squealed: “Are you?
“Well you never talk about your romantic life”.
Adil giggled and then clarified: “I have no present girlfriend, no.
“She’s [the ex] is single, we both need a holiday so we thought why not?
“We get on really well”.
Eager to play matchmaker, Coronation Street alum Nigel said: “You might get back together!”
Adil replied: “Nah I don’t know about that – but we might even share a room!
“Because it will save us a bit of money!
“But we can be sensible, we can be purely platonic,” to which Kerry suggested he was “just pushing his luck here”.
He did not specify just which ex he was referring to.
Birmingham-born Adil has always kept his love life out of the spotlight.
Yet he has previously taken to X to joke about his father quizzing him on when he will get married.
In 2021, he told OK! Magazine: “I’m looking for The One.
“Dating in lockdown is difficult – I just need the right girl to settle down with!”
