Everyone Thought This Was Easy… Until the Final Seconds Changed Everything. The 1% Club’s Most Brutal Question Ever Left Contestants Staring In Silence — The Tiny Detail That Beat Almost Everyone Has Fans Replaying The Puzzle Again And Again

Oh, there’s nothing like spending a night on the sofa arguing about who is the smartest and who can get the most of the quiz show’s questions right.

And The 1% Club always provides in getting the debates going, from the question being way too obvious to viewers simply disagreeing with the answer.

But in last night’s (1 November) episode, people were left totally stumped on social media as they watched contestants struggle with the ‘toughest ever question’ on the ITV show.

In case you’re not familiar with the popular quiz TV watch, The 1% Club is hosted by comedian Lee Mack and challenges 100 members of the public to put their logic, common sense and intelligence to the test.

Once they’ve worked through levels of questions (and typically lost a fair few people), any remaining contestant who correctly answers the question that only one percent of the nation got right wins a share of up to £100,000.

But last night’s final question was quite the challenge for the contestants – and the viewers too, it seems.

There was just three of them left by the time it got to the one percent challenge with Mack wishing them all the best of luck.

The question read: “You should always read the small print very carefully. How many errors are there in the T&Cs below?”

And what accompanied it was a very tightly packed run of 40 ‘T&Cs’ with no spaces in between and a few errors sprinkled throughout.

Viewers at home were quick to say: “That was tough for the time limit,” with the contestants having just 30 seconds to try and figure it out.

“It’s a hard one isn’t it!” another echoed as viewers at home admitted to missing one themselves.

But the answer? Seven mistakes in total. And none of the contestants managed to get it.

One viewer even admitted: “I just guessed 7, didn’t have time otherwise.”

As others shared tips: “The trick is reading each column top to bottom as fast as you can and see if there is any change in each column. So its 7.”

But, I mean, there’s no denying it’s a whole lot easier from the comfort of your own home when you’re not with a load of strangers, on a timer and surrounded by cameras in a bid to win a share of £100,000.

Although, it’s not so easy for everyone it seems: “I counted 8 for some reason although I was rushing at the end. Closest I’ve come to a full house yet. One minor criticism I have of the show is the pictures could do with being slightly larger on the screen. Really struggle to see some of them at times.”

With that time limit and the almost optical illusion of it all, it’s been suggested it’s up there as the show’s toughest ever question.
