Love Island Feud Explodes Again — and a Wedding Post Just Set It Off Molly Smith and Tom Clare’s wedding should have been all about celebration — but one notable absence has now sparked a VERY awkward new twist.

A Love Island feud has flared up again after Mitch Taylor hit back at Anton Danyluk over his explanation for missing Tom Clare and Molly Smith’s second wedding.

The reality TV couple celebrated their marriage with a lavish ceremony in Majorca over the weekend, surrounded by a number of their Love Island friends and former co-stars.

Among those attending were Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie, along with Mitch and his girlfriend. Tom’s close friend Casey O’Gorman was also there and took on the role of best man.

But one familiar face was notably absent.

Anton later revealed on Instagram that he had turned down his invitation after deciding to stop drinking. His explanation quickly prompted questions from fans, with some describing his post as “odd” and questioning why he had chosen not to attend.

Mitch then weighed in in the comments, writing: “Give it a rest Anton pal, this is weird.”

Anton explains why he missed the wedding

Sharing a photo of himself with Tom, Anton explained that he had received his invitation at the beginning of the year and had initially been honoured to be included.

He wrote: “Tom and Molly got married yesterday. I wish I’d been there. Here’s why I wasn’t.

“At the start of the year I got invited. And it was an honour, because these two are genuinely my favourite people that came off the show. But I turned it down. And it wasn’t an easy decision.

“Because at the time I was invited, I’d just made the decision to stop drinking.”

Anton said that five months into sobriety, he had come to a different understanding of his relationship with alcohol.

“But what I realised in those five months was that drinking was never really the problem. The problem was knowing when to stop,” he said.

Looking back, Anton admitted that he would have made a different decision with the benefit of what he now knows.

“So looking back, if I knew then what I know now, I’d have gone. I’d have accepted that it’s about the occasion, and about control.

“But here’s the thing. At the time, I had to say no in order to learn that.”

He added: “You have to look out for yourself first. It might not look like the right call later. But for where you are right then, it is.”

Anton ended the post by congratulating the newlyweds and making clear that he was happy for them despite missing their big day.

“Congratulations you two. I’m gutted I missed it, but I couldn’t be happier for you,” he wrote.

Fans question Anton’s decision

Anton’s explanation did not convince everyone.

One fan commented: “So either you didn’t actually get invited. Or you didn’t actually care enough to at least show your face at the service and leave happily.”

Another simply wrote: “This is odd.”

A third added: “What a weird post.”

Mitch appeared to agree with the criticism, responding directly beneath the comments with his own dig at Anton.

Mitch and Anton’s long-running feud

The latest exchange is the newest chapter in a feud that began during Love Island: All Stars in 2024.

Their relationship deteriorated after Anton confronted Mitch in the villa over his treatment of Liberty Poole, after Mitch had allegedly made her cry twice in the space of a week.

The tension continued after the show, with Anton even suggesting that the pair settle their differences in the boxing ring.

Their rivalry later intensified when Mitch accused Anton of having a “secret hair transplant” and threatened to “slap his head off.”

The two were subsequently captured appearing to fight at a fashion event, pushing their already bitter relationship into another public confrontation.

Molly and Tom’s Majorca wedding

Meanwhile, Molly and Tom marked their marriage with a spectacular ceremony at Son Marroig, a 17th Century marble temple on the cliffs of Majorca.

The Spanish venue was reported to have cost around £10,000.

The couple celebrated alongside several of their Love Island friends, with Casey O’Gorman taking on best man duties for his long-time friend Tom.

For Molly and Tom, the ceremony marked another celebration of their relationship, while for Anton and Mitch, the wedding weekend has provided another public flashpoint in their long-running feud.
