“SAME MISTAKES AGAIN!” — BRUNO FERNANDES’ FRUSTRATED WARNING EXPOSES THE PROBLEM MAN UTD STILL HAVEN’T FIXED AFTER SHOCKING HULL DEFEAT

Manchester United’s new Premier League campaign began with a nightmare 2-0 defeat to newly-promoted Hull City, and captain Bruno Fernandes made it clear he was far from impressed.

Despite dominating possession, United struggled to create meaningful chances and conceded twice from set pieces in a performance that Fernandes believes looked painfully familiar.

The United captain pointed directly at the issue after the final whistle:

“Same mistakes as we did last season.”

Fernandes admitted United needed to be more aggressive, press better and defend set pieces properly, especially after knowing before kick-off that Hull would pose a major threat from dead-ball situations.

The defeat was particularly frustrating because United had been expecting a fresh start under Michael Carrick, following the optimism surrounding their third-place finish last season.

Instead, Fernandes’ comments suggested that some of the old problems are still very much alive.

“You need to match everything in intensity, aggression and everything,” he said. “That cost us the game.”

For United supporters, that admission may be even more worrying than the result itself.

A new season was supposed to bring a new beginning. Instead, Bruno Fernandes has already sounded the alarm — and admitted Manchester United still have plenty to fix.
