Seth Meyers just issued a brutal takedown of President Donald Trump, after the POTUS claimed he didn’t know what “affordability” means.
On the July 30 episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers, the host, 52, took aim at Trump, 80, during his “A Closer Look” segment. A clip from Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign showed him repeatedly promising, “Starting on day one, we will end inflation and make America affordable again.”
However, Meyers then played a clip of Trump from a rally this week, during which the POTUS said, “You know, they have this term. So here I am, I’m one day in office, and the fake news goes, ‘Affordability. Affordability.’ I said, ‘What’s affordability? What’s that all about?’”
That’s when Meyers introduced a “brand new segment” he called “I Feel F***ing Crazy.”
“What do you mean, ‘What’s affordability?’?!” he exasperatedly asked. “You’re the one who said it! You said we were going to make America affordable again. ‘Affordability’ is the noun form of the adjective ‘affordable,’ you f***ing dropout!”

Meyers then quipped, “This is like, if after chanting, ‘Build that wall’ for years, he admitted he didn’t know what a wall was.” He also did an impression of Trump, declaring, “Build that wall so I can finally lay eyes on one. You hear a lot about them. You never see walls. Someone told me they see walls every day, but then they pointed to one, and I said, ‘That’s not a wall, that’s a side roof.’”
Additionally, the late-night host pointed out that Trump recently said that high prices aren’t his fault.
“They always try and blame me for high prices,” the president said, recalling the question at his first news conference after taking office for his second term. “… You have to understand, I just got there.”
To that, Meyers exclaimed. “You’re the president — of course they’re asking you why prices are so high!”
He then joked, “Who do you want them to ask, Jimothy?” of the viral raccoon in Seattle, Washington. “By the way, let’s be clear, don’t let Jimothy anywhere near the White House. RFK will just assume his Uber Eats showed up early.”
