Jeremy, 66, can be seen grappling with the “aggressive” prostate cancer diagnosis in the last two episodes – which were released today on Prime Video.

Ahead of them airing, the TV legend warned fans the show would be “a difficult watch” as he begins his battle against the cruel disease.

Jeremy’s lip trembles as he reveals the assessment and he’s later seen in a hospital bed set to undergo surgery.

The Who Wants to Be a Millionaire presenter was sat down talking to Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland when he first revealed the news.

As he discusses harvesting the farm, Jeremy breaks off and leans back into his seat before saying: “I’ve got cancer.”

A shocked Kaleb replies: “No, you haven’t. Where?”

Jeremy adds: “Where it is is of no concern of anybody. I’ve known since May.

“I had a medical, you remember back in May. I disappeared off the other week and I had a biopsy and it is cancer and it’s aggressive, but it’s really early so the treatment will be, you know.

“I was praying we could get the harvest done and then I could go and get some treatment but it’s going to be slap bang in the middle.”

Kaleb wipes away tears and says: “Look after yourself, you go and do…if you need anything just ring.”

At a later point in the show, Jeremy discusses his cancer again while talking to Kaleb, girlfriend Lisa, Charlie and Gerald.

Discussing their horrible year he said: “So we started the year and I had coronary heart disease and ended it with me with cancer.

“We can dwell as much as we like on all the bad things that have happened on the farm but I think it is better now at the end of the year to focus on things that have happened that are good.”

Kaleb then asks him: “When will we know if the treatments worked?”

Jeremy replies: “I don’t know, I’ve got a blood test today, there’ll be a blood test and then we’ll know.

“Not for another few weeks. Come on cheer up, it probably did work.”

The show then cuts to an image of Clarkson in a hospital bed saying: “So we started season five with me in a hospital bed and we are at the end of season five and I’m back in a hospital bed.

“Some of the treatment has gone awry, lets say, I’m going to be here for a little while. I’m nil by mouth, i dont know whats going to happen.”

Then with a piece of his iconic black humour, Jeremy says: “What I wanted to say was if this is all successful I’ll see you for season six and if it isn’t I won’t. Take care everyone.”

Jeremy, who’s also a columnist on The Sun, has given few hints about the cancer up to now.

In an interview with The Sun last November he cryptically remarked: “It’s been shocking these last 12 months – on every front.”

But he didn’t elaborate further.

The fifth series featuring the shock news began filming in 2024 at his Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire when he was already hit hard by a heart scare.

Doctors told him his arteries were so blocked he could have been days away from a heart attack and he had to have two stents fitted at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

In the first six episodes, he is seen appearing to make a relatively speedy recovery and returning to Diddly Squat.

But yesterday Jeremy, father to daughters Emily and Katya and son Finlo and who has two grandchildren, Arlo and Xanthe, gave a hint of how the tone of the show would change in the last two episodes.

The Who Wants to be a Millionaire? presenter put a post on Instagram titled: “An announcement from Diddly Squat”.

It was a video message which looked like it was filmed on his land in Oxfordshire.

He said: “Ordinarily we try to keep the show bucolic and charming and cheerful. But the final two episodes which drop in the middle of the night tonight are none of those things really.”

Stopping to draw a deep breath and appearing visibly emotional he added: “They’re a difficult watch. They’re really, really difficult.”

In an interview published in The Sun earlier this year he also said: “Anyone who thinks season five of Clarkson’s Farm is a barrel of laughs is in for serious disappointment.”

Despite his diagnosis Jeremy maintained a relatively busy year in 2025.

He was filming new series of Who Wants to be a Millionaire and planning for the sixth series of Clarkson’s Farm, which has been commissioned by Prime Video.

The hugely popular agricultural show saw Jezza and his team take a break after the fifth outing.

He said: “We’ve been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everybody could do with a rest.”
