Costco is not just for buying in bulk, but apparently it’s also where Ken Jennings gets his wardrobe inspiration from. Jeopardy! fans reacted to the host’s confession after a fan Q&A.

“Ken’s Music, Fashion, Film picks might save us #Jeopardy! #MusicFashionFilm #Charlixcx,” the Instagram post on July 24 was captioned.

“How about here?” Jennings asked during the Q&A. The fan asked if he could pick one person each that he likes in film, fashion, and music.

“For film, I pick David Lynch,” he said as he cringed. Lynch, who died in 2025, was a filmmaker and artist who was best known for The Elephant ManBlue VelvetMulholland Drive, and the 1984 version of Dune.

For music, Jennings chose Prince. “Can’t go wrong with Prince,” he said.

“And for fashion,” he cringed again. “I’m not a big fashion guy. I think my name, and I don’t know if this counts, based on what I wear a lot of, would be Kirkland Industries.”

“Shoutout Costco,” he said, which made the audience laugh.

Kirkland Signature is a clothing brand featured in Costco that contains plain white T-shirts, underwear, jeans, sweatpants, and more. They have some dressier items for men as well.

“I would say that pretty much all of my clothing shopping is either Costco, Uniqlo, or just KEXP radio station t-shirts from my Seattle indie rock station, so I think Kirkland would have to be my fashion name. Is that okay?” he asked.

“My father is also a connoisseur of ‘Costco chic’ as we call it,” one fan said.

“I just want to be Ken Jennings cool one day,” another commented.

“Exactly my same fashion. KEXP and Costco,” a third added.

“Not Kirkland hahaha,” a fan laughed.

“These answers are correct. No notes,” another said.

“The more I know about him, the more I love him,” a fan wrote.

“Every time I think I can’t love Ken more, he proves me wrong,” one follower said.

“He’s such a baddie,” another commented.

“Ken remains elite tier. Not shocking,” one last fan said.
