Ana Navarro has issued a hilarious warning to The View viewers ahead of the show’s milestone 30th season, admitting that she has abandoned almost every part of her usual beauty routine during her summer break.
The 54-year-old television personality revealed that she had spent nearly six weeks without attending to her usual grooming appointments, leaving her with gray roots, overgrown eyebrows and nails desperately needing attention.
With less than a day between her return from Spain and her first live broadcast, Navarro joked that audiences would have to accept a much more natural version of her.

In an Instagram video shared on September 5, Navarro explained that her extended vacation had left little time for the maintenance she normally completes before appearing on national television.
“You all, The View begins Sept. 8, and here’s the problem. I have done no self-grooming or self-care for almost a month and a half,” she told followers.
She then asked viewers to be patient while she adjusted to her regular television schedule.
“I’m asking you for a little grace and time to get myself together — like maybe give me a week after I go on live TV,” she joked.
Navarro was scheduled to arrive back in the United States on the evening of September 7, leaving almost no time for beauty appointments before the following morning’s broadcast.
Rather than attempting to hide the situation, she decided to share the details with her followers.

Navarro proceeded to give viewers a close-up look at everything she had neglected during her time away.
“You see this? This is gray hair that I haven’t been able to color,” she said, pointing to her roots.
She then turned her attention to her eyebrows, comparing their appearance to squirrel tails after more than a month without waxing or plucking.
Her nails were another concern, with Navarro estimating that they had grown approximately a quarter to half an inch since her last appointment.
The candid commentary continued as she joked about unwanted facial hair, comparing her upper lip to that of Mexican comedian Cantinflas, who was famous for his distinctive mustache.
She also admitted that cosmetic treatments had fallen completely off her schedule.
“Botox? Forget about it. Lip filler? No existe la posibilidad,” she declared.
Even her neck became the subject of a self-deprecating joke.
Navarro concluded her video by warning that this was exactly how she expected to appear when the cameras started rolling.
“This is how I’m gonna go on TV on Sept. 8. I am just forewarning you.”
The View Star Reveals How Much Her Vacation Changed Her Routine
Navarro expanded on her confession in the video’s caption, explaining that her relaxed summer lifestyle had been dramatically different from her usual television preparations.
She admitted that she had barely worn makeup, styled her hair or used many of the accessories associated with her on-screen appearance.
“My roots are on full display,” she wrote. “My eyebrows are bushy [and] my upper lip is fuzzy. My nails are a disaster. My feet are even worse.”
She also joked that her Botox treatment had worn off weeks earlier.
Her wardrobe had undergone an equally dramatic transformation.
Rather than wearing fitted television outfits, shapewear and high heels, Navarro had spent much of her break in comfortable, loose-fitting kaftans.
She admitted that she had hardly worn a bra in almost two months and couldn’t remember the last time she had put on high heels.
Her vacation eating habits were another source of amusement.
“I’ve been wearing loose-fitting kaftans, not come close to a scale and have been eating like a condemned person,” she wrote.
Navarro Jokes About Returning to Her Pandemic-Era Look
With the show’s premiere approaching, Navarro made it clear that she had no intention of pretending everything was perfectly prepared.
“Cut me some slack. What you see is what you get,” she told followers.
She encouraged viewers to appreciate her natural appearance while she caught up on her usual appointments.
“Take a little time to enjoy the natural view,” she added.
Navarro even suggested she might revive one of her familiar pandemic-era fashion choices.
“Maybe I should go back to my Covid-era turbans,” she joked.
The post offered a humorous glimpse into the contrast between the polished appearance expected of daytime television personalities and the relaxed routines they enjoy away from the cameras.
The View Returns for Its Milestone 30th Season
Navarro has been associated with The View for more than a decade, initially appearing as a guest cohost before joining the permanent panel in 2022.
She returned for Season 30 alongside Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin.
The milestone season premiered on September 8, with Navarro returning to the Hot Topics table shortly after arriving home from Spain.
Although she expressed concern about her unfinished beauty appointments, her candid video demonstrated the humour and willingness to laugh at herself that viewers have come to expect.
For Navarro, returning to live television after a carefree summer meant accepting a few gray hairs, unfinished manicures and a less glamorous appearance — at least until she could find time for her next salon appointment.
