Prince William Scores a Major Win as ‘Unsettled’ Harry and Meghan Reportedly Make Another Move
While Prince William and Princess Catherine appear to have established a settled family life at Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly facing another change of address just months after returning to the UK.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved back to Britain at the end of August 2026 after spending six years in Montecito, California. They returned with their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, who are now reportedly enrolled in schools in the UK.
Since relocating to the Cotswolds, the couple are believed to have been staying on the estate of a wealthy businessman friend. However, according to recent reports, they have now left the main residence and moved into a separate property elsewhere on the same estate.

Sussexes reportedly move to another property on the estate
The latest development was discussed by UK barrister and broadcaster Andrew Eborn during an appearance on News24.
“The report is there’s a change of address. It’s being revealed they’ve been staying with a wealthy businessman friend in the Cotswolds,” Eborn told presenter Gabriella Power.
“According to reports, they’ve moved from the main house into another property on the same estate.”
The reported move comes amid claims that Harry and Meghan have put their search for a permanent countryside home on hold. The couple were previously said to be considering properties with a budget of up to £10 million, but their plans appear to have changed.
It remains unclear how long they intend to stay at the new property or whether they will eventually resume their search for a home of their own.

What the Sussexes left behind when they stepped down
During the News24 discussion, Eborn also reflected on the consequences of Harry and Meghan’s decision to step away from their roles as senior working royals in 2020.
The Duke’s relationship with his older brother, Prince William, has remained strained. The Sussexes also lost the use of Frogmore Cottage in 2023, following the publication of Harry’s memoir, Spare. The property had been given to the couple by the late Queen Elizabeth II as a wedding gift.
“You might remember they lost Frogmore which was given to them by the late Queen Elizabeth. They lost that in 2023 after Spare came out and they had a big fallout,” Eborn said.
Despite leaving their former UK residence, Harry and Meghan have retained their mansion in Montecito, California. Eborn also noted that the couple have a property in Portugal.
Billy Bush claims William is drawing a line with his brother
The Sussexes’ reported housing change comes as attention has also returned to the contrasting public activities of the two royal households.
Podcast host Billy Bush recently suggested on his Hot Mics show that William and Catherine are working to bring positive attention to the Royal Family through their charitable engagements, while Meghan faces renewed scrutiny amid allegations involving her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr.
The 82-year-old has been accused of possessing thousands of indecent images of children. The allegations have prompted investigations, but Markle has denied possessing such material.
Discussing the situation, Bush claimed that William was unwilling to simply put the family rift behind them.
“William is not giving Harry the pass. Prince William is done. The future king is p***ed. You don’t take off from the Royal Family like this and our duty and our birthright and all this stuff, and then come back and go, ‘No problem, let’s be a family again!’”
Bush also praised what he described as Catherine’s measured approach to public engagements, pointing to a recent post on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s social media account featuring a rescue organisation helping people in need.
“Princess Kate was making some nice, subtle moves at the weekend. Slow and steady moves, while the embarrassment unfolds for Meghan. She’s not rubbing it in; she would never. She’s too classy a woman,” he said.
He went on to contrast the Waleses’ charitable activities with the controversy surrounding Meghan’s father, arguing that William and Catherine were continuing to highlight their public service while the Sussexes faced difficult family headlines.
Bush’s remarks reflect his own interpretation of the ongoing royal tensions. Neither William nor Catherine has publicly commented on his assessment, and the reported change in Harry and Meghan’s accommodation does not, by itself, establish what their longer-term plans for Britain will be.
For now, the Sussexes’ next steps remain uncertain, while the differences between their life outside the monarchy and the official roles carried out by the Prince and Princess of Wales continue to attract public attention.
