JOSH WIDDICOMBE ADMITS HE’S ‘LIVING IN A BALL OF FEAR’ — STRICTLY HOST DROPS CANDID CONFESSION AHEAD OF FIRST LIVE SHOW

Josh Widdicombe has admitted he has been “living in a ball of fear” as the countdown to his first live Strictly Come Dancing show begins.
The presenter appeared on The One Show alongside fellow new co-hosts Johannes Radebe and Emma Willis, giving fans their first glimpse of the trio together ahead of Saturday’s launch.
And while the excitement is building, Josh made no attempt to hide just how nervous he has been about the moment finally arriving.
‘LIVING IN A BALL OF FEAR’
With the new series set to kick off this Saturday, Josh admitted the wait to get Strictly on screen had been getting to him.
“It’s nerve-racking because it feels like we’ve been waiting for so long to do this and for this to go out,” he said.
“I’ve been living in a ball of fear, I think that’s fair to say, but since we’ve done the launch show, I just want people to see it, because we had the best time.”

But Josh is not the only new face facing a major adjustment.
Former professional dancer Johannes teased that viewers still do not know exactly what role each of the new hosts will play during the launch show — and promised that there is something different waiting for them.
‘THE FOMO IS REAL’

Johannes may now be presenting the show, but stepping away from the dancefloor appears to be easier said than done.
Asked by The One Show presenter Roman Kemp whether part of him wanted to jump back out there and get involved, Johannes admitted: “Every single time… the FOMO is real!”
Emma, meanwhile, revealed that the new hosting trio will have their own dance to perform, with Johannes taking on the role of teacher.

The presenter has even been rehearsing at home with her husband, Busted star Matt Willis.
“I like to be thorough, so JoJo had been teaching us,” Emma explained.
“I was going around the supermarket with a trolley.
“I made Matt learn it with me. I sent it to JoJo to ask if it was right!”

A NEW STRICTLY TWIST
Emma also teased another change coming to this year’s series, revealing that contestants will face a new “speed dancing” format.
Exactly how that will work remains under wraps for now, with viewers having to wait until Saturday’s launch to see the new feature in action.
With Josh already admitting to nerves, Johannes battling FOMO and Emma rehearsing everywhere from home to the supermarket, the new Strictly presenting team is certainly heading into its first live show with plenty of energy — and a lot riding on that opening night.
