The Voice Season 30 is introducing a major change to its competition format with a brand-new round called Cut Week. Instead of the usual Knockout Rounds, the NBC singing competition will put its artists through a much tougher elimination process before the Live Shows begin.
The change comes as the show makes room for six weeks of live episodes and adjusts its schedule to air just once a week for most of the season. With so many artists still competing after the Battle Rounds, Cut Week will bring one of the biggest elimination events in the show’s history.

What Is Cut Week on The Voice Season 30?
Cut Week will feature the largest number of eliminations in a single week in The Voice history. A total of 15 singers are expected to leave the competition during this stage.
Following the Battle Rounds, each coach has seven artists remaining on their team. Kelly Clarkson, Riley Green, Adam Levine, and Queen Latifah must each choose two contestants to advance directly to the Live Shows. That means eight singers will avoid the pressure of performing during Cut Week.

The remaining five artists on each team will compete for one final spot through their performances. After watching them take the stage, each coach will select one more singer to advance.
There will also be one additional spot decided by viewers at home through public voting. As a result, one team will enter the Live Shows with four artists, while the other three teams will each have three contestants.

The coaches have already made it clear that making these decisions will not be easy. Adam Levine warned that “Cut Week is going to be brutal,” adding that everyone wants to be in the strongest possible position before the Live Shows.
Queen Latifah joked that she thought the round should be called “cuss week” because everyone had been cussing so much. She also admitted that she did not want to send anyone home because she loved her team.
Kelly Clarkson shared a similar feeling, telling host Carson Daly, “It’s really not cool.”
Despite their concerns, the coaches will have to make difficult choices that determine which artists continue their journey.
When Does Cut Week Air on The Voice Season 30?
Cut Week will air on Monday, November 2, during a two-hour episode. It also marks the beginning of the show’s new time slot, running from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
The episode follows the conclusion of the Battle Rounds on October 26. Fans will finally find out which singers receive a direct pass to the Live Shows and which contestants must fight for the remaining team spots.

When Do the Live Shows Begin?
The Live Shows are scheduled to begin on Monday, November 9. The competition will continue with episodes on November 16, November 23, November 30, and December 7, which will serve as the Semifinals.
The Season 30 Finale is set for December 14. All of these episodes are scheduled to air from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.
Another major change this season is that viewers will learn the results on the same night as the performances instead of waiting for a separate results episode the following day.
Executive producer Audrey Morrissey explained the new format, saying, “It’s real-time voting. So, everybody performs, and we find out that night who’s moving on.”
With 15 singers facing elimination during Cut Week, the coaches’ decisions and the public vote will determine which contestants get the chance to compete for the Season 30 title.
